New ExecutiveAssistant Version 1.40 Ships

Follow Me” features, is released today.

WA -- July 2, 2002 -- Today, BrightArrow Technologies delivers Version 1.40 of its flagship
ExecutiveAssistant software for enhancing telephone productivity. ExecutiveAssistant was the first third-party
software enhancement for the 3Com NBX IP phone system when they initiated their
Solutions Providers Program in 2001.
Since then, ExecutiveAssistant has been greatly enhanced, now bringing
to you Version 1.40 that includes powerful and flexible Find Me Follow Me
functionality.

ExecutiveAssistant is a Windows-based client-server
software solution that integrates seamlessly with the 3Com NBX and SS3 phone
systems. The software greatly improves
your caller’s experience by making sure that important callers are intelligently
directed to the right person, rather than making them search around within an
auto-attendant. Companies that prefer
live receptionists also utilize ExecutiveAssistant to enhance the
receptionist’s ability to direct important callers to employees who are not
always at their desks.
BrightArrow ExecutiveAssistant provides powerful yet
cost-effective call center functionality for the small call center. In addition, the software makes remote
phones (such as wireless phones) seamless extensions to the company’s phone
system.
The new version of ExecutiveAssistant enhances the
product’s Find Me Follow Me functionality.
With Version 1.40, each employee can have an unlimited number of “Away
States.” They can configure each state
with different phone numbers as well as pre-recorded messages that it speaks to
the caller. For example, if your Away
State is “Wireless,” the software tries reaching you on your wireless phone for
callers with high enough priority. If it
is unsuccessful at reaching you, or if you choose not to talk to that particular
person at the time, the software tells the caller that you were not available
in the office or on your wireless phone, thus preventing them from trying to
call your wireless phone directly.
Another example of an Away State available in the new
ExecutiveAssistant 1.40 version is “In a Meeting.” With a speed dial button on your wireless phone, you can
temporarily suspend most callers from reaching you – and those callers are told
that you are in a meeting. Therefore,
you no longer have to turn off your wireless phone or constantly check who’s
calling when you really need to focus on the meeting.
