
Redmond, WA, September 18, 2001 – BrightArrow Technologies today announced that it has shipped ExecutiveAssistant for 3Com’s NBX® platform. By working together, 3Com and BrightArrow now offer the first speech recognition solution integrated with the 3Com® NBX Networked Telephony system.
BrightArrow Technologies develops
client/server applications that work in conjunction with both traditional and
IP-based telephone systems to provide voice recognition-driven call answering
and routing, message recording (voice mail), and integrated access between
voice mail, e-mail, and popular contact management systems.
The
ExecutiveAssistant platform delivers an electronic personal assistant to
the desktop remote location and wireless devices, enabling each user to manage
incoming calls in a highly personalized yet professional manner. The caller is
identified using speech recognition, allowing an automatic or user-based
decision to either accept the call, send it to voice mail, or forward it to an
outside number. This functionality is made possible through seamless
integration with the user’s personal and centralized contact databases.
ExecutiveAssistant
is available exclusively through authorized 3Com® NBX
Networked Telephony dealers. It is the first application to take advantage of
3Com’s recently announced TAPI/WAVE functionality. ExecutiveAssistant has been
